Getting Words From My Head to My Hands. Writing Sounds so Easy!

Do you also find it so clear in your head but strange on screen?

The Concept

It sounds so easy. I hear the words the sentences and the arguments in my head. It makes perfect sense. I dream of how easy it's going to be putting it all on a screen. This one is going to be so easy. But what!! Huh!

Then it starts. Words fall on the screen but they don’t seem to gel. Sentences become too long. Words are difficult to come by. Being a native Afrikaans speaker I rarely use English. There is a saying “I only use English in self-defense” I look up the meaning of words constantly. No! you don’t understand I mean constantly.

The Grammar

Thank you and thank you again for Grammarly. Without it, the articles I do would take weeks to write.

Before Grammarly, I would sit in front of my laptop and get to about the third word. How do I spell this? Sycoholagee? This cry for help would echo through the house. P.S.Y.C.H.O.L.O.G.Y. I will hear the word spelled out. The better-equipped members of my household would come to my rescue.

What? do you start it with a P? Would be my first response. As they spell out the word I would type it in. P.S.Y.G………. Very happy to finally put the word down after…
